Strategy Consultant (m/f)

The Strategy Consultant is tasked with independently leading strategy initiatives in close partnership with cross functional teams, as well as managing complex workstreams to support large, mission critical projects for the organization.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategy development and execution: Lead independent strategy initiatives in close partnership with cross functional teams through all phases of strategic projects, including problem/project scoping, rational/business case development and project management. Support Managers and Sr. Managers on complex, mission critical strategic projects
• Relationship Building: Develop strong working relationships with key decision makers and functional groups across the company. Support leaders in solving their strategic questions
• Communication: Present strategies and insights to multiple levels of management across business units and functional areas
• Market & Competitive Intelligence: Develop strong subject matter expertise and educate leadership teams about strategic implications for the Marketplaces

Key Experience/Skills

• Undergraduate degree from a top tier institution, Masters degree from a top tier institution a plus
• At least 2 years of post-undergraduate experience at a management consulting firm or at least 4 years with a relevant corporate strategy organization
• World-class strategic and analytical capabilities (quantitative and qualitative)
• Consumer internet background or good understanding of internet / ecommerce trends and passion for online & mobile business models
• Industry experience in one or more of the following areas a plus: e-commerce, internet services, mobile, payments, retail & understanding of new online products / technologies (e.g., e-commerce, payments and mobile)
• Superior communication and influencing skills (verbal / written / presentation)
• People motivation and development skills / strong & open personality, ability to work with senior business partners & challenge assumptions or opinions
• Project and workstream management skills
• Languages: German, good English, additional European languages a strong plus
• Self-starter & independent work style, flexibility to travel in Europe & the USA
